Maruti to foray into LCV segment

Maruti Suzuki is known to be a pioneer in the small car segment and is also branded the ‘King of small cars’. The company has a string of powerful small cars introduced since its inception. For an interesting piece of news the company is venturing into its first break in the Light Commercial Vehicle Segment (LCV) which is christened Y9T. The launch of the first commercial vehicle of Maruti Suzuki, Y9T will lead to stiff competition of this vehicle with other dominant figures in the commercial vehicle segment such as Mahindra Maxximo and Tata Ace. This vehicle is not an entirely new product; the company has been launching a load carting vehicle that can transport a maximum weight of 600 kgs in Pakistan which is referred to as Ravi.

The Y9T is equipped with a potent 800cc diesel engine fitted with twin cylinders; the company also aims to build this model in the established factory in Gujarat. The company has been working on effective Research and Development methods, and is in the process of constructing a new research facility situated in Rohtak in 2014. Maruti Suzuki aims to hire efficient diesel engineers. According to information from sources, the new Y9T model will most likely be established on the new Eeco van pattern with resemblances to the styling and front.
The firm plans to set up an aspirated version of the mode that will be incorporated  in the Light Commercial Vehicle, there will also be another turbo charged engine for the  small car segment. The work on this engine is in the advanced stages of production and development. Another interesting point to consider is the company is likely to manufacture a diesel power train fitted with 1.2 liter and 1.4 liter engine with three and four cylinders respectively. The launch of this truck is likely to occur in 2015.
The company will reveal further information on its first entry into the Light Commercial Vehicle Segment (LCV), which itself is a new surprise factor. This might be one of the company’s motives to expand its portfolio, since Maruti Suzuki has emerged with all categories of car launches. To be able to compete with Tata Ace and Mahindra Maxximo Van, the Y9T will have to be equipped with dynamic engine and over the top fuel efficiency.
Commercial vehicles have benefited the public to a great extent in India. The Maxximo Van and Tata Ace have contributed significant sales to the car industry. The main aim is to transport heavy luggage and people to their destined areas; moreover these models have advanced interior fitments with premium leather upholstery and high tech music system. Let’s observe the car Y9T car introduced by Maruti Suzuki which is built for load carrying purposes. The car is expected to launch in 2016, and is already launched in Pakistan as Ravi. This model would benefit the rural and urban industries to the maximum, and also can be employed as a transport truck to transport goods through different cities
